Where should we begin. The days have all started to blend together. After surviving the bus ride and arriving on Tuesday evening we hit the ground running. Today we had the chance to be involved in a variety of ministry opportunities. First we went to the market and purchased food for four different families. After purchasing the food we were able to give it to families around the mission. What an amazing opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We also had the opportunity to pray with them and give them a copy of the New Testament. After lunch the guys went to help with the construction of the aquaponics facility. Adjusting cables and digging holes is what we did a lot of. The girls went to the Miriam Center to love on the children with special needs and to play with shaving cream. I can honestly say I have never seen that much shaving cream covering people in my entire life. Later on in the day we participated in Meals on Heals and delivered food to elderly that are unable to make it to the mission. The days are busy and at times are a bit chaotic, yet the experiences, the sites, the sounds, the people…well it is like nothing I have ever experienced before. And there is still more to come!
