Orphanage Trip 1

Today I went with another group to the Orphanage. The bus ride there was as grueling as the bus ride from Port au Prince, just shorter. It was the most desolate area I have seen in Haiti. We went up and down hills on gravel, dirt, and through the rivers into the back hills of the country. I never would have dreamed I would ever go mudding, let alone in a bus with 19+ other people. God got us there safely to be greeted by over 100 of his children. Their smiling faces made the trip well worth the rough ride. It was great to see some of the little girls in the dresses that we had brought with us last year. We were as blessed by the children as we had hoped to bless them as we treated sores, and held Bible school. The story was of the Battle of Jerri co. God’s reminding to me that with God and his faithful people, We can do anything.
